Litespeed Tanasi
This is my main bicycle. It's built very well and has the simplicity to be something I'll enjoy for many years. I love the welds, and have always been a fan of titanium. I had it built around 2000, and other than a couple minor equipment updates, I haven't had any urge to replace it.

What's unique about this machine...
- This was Litespeed's top hard tail mountain bike frame. It's based on a
6/4 titanium that is supposed to be a bit stronger than the standard mix. I
really don't have proof of it, but I can say that I'm big, I thrash it hard,
and I've never had bikes this light hold up so well for me. I've configured
it with pretty normal quality parts:
- XTR group
- King headset (it's durable and light)
- Thomson stem
- Easton Monkey lite carbon bar
- Easton carbon post
- Terry Fly seat
- Fox fork
- XT disc brakes (XTR didn't exist the year I built this)
- Spinergy wheels - I wasn't sure what I'd thing of these, and I've been thrilled. They are light, stay true and have a nice ride. These are my dirt wheels.
- Mavic Speedcity wheels - these are a cool disc wheel that I run 700x23 tires on for my road commuting.
- weight w/dirt wheels is around 23lbs
