69 SS Camaro Notes

1969 SS Camaro Notes

My 69 Camaro is a pretty basic SS350 version. It's a classic looking 69 that I've been a fan of since I was a little kid. My best friends first car was a green 69 that was a big influence for my choice of this car.

Bit more information on this:

engine
  • 350 c.i. small block, fresh build around ~5000 miles back
  • around 9.0:1 compression
  • mild cam
  • Edelbrock performer manifold
  • Edelbrock carb (though the carb does get changed)
  • Balanced
  • MSD distributor/ignition
  • stock exhaust

chassis

  • stock suspension
  • 12 bolt posi in rear - it needs attention
  • five spoke wheels - I forget the brand, but they were reasonable. Tires are good all-around ones.

transmission
turbo 350

interior/exterior
The interior started out white. I dropped in some Recaro's and redid the back seat to match. Then I snagged the seats for the 67 Camaro, and popped the 67 seats in. Basically, I need to redo everything to get it matching. This was the first car I'd ever redone things like door panels myself... and I did a good job.
