70 Blazer Notes

My Blazer was a hoot to own. It was great to bounce around in, made plenty of power, and even held up to decent sized road trips.

updated roll-cage shots:

The cage is a six point, with door bars. I use Hammerite (currently silver) paint for ease of maintenance. It's getting tied into the frame as I add in the rock bars below the doors later this summer. The back section will have a cross braces added on top for one of the spares. The front section will have mount points for my Yakima rack (bikes...).

interior/exterior
- I've always liked the interior on this generation Blazer. I've done some upgrades, as well as have a number more coming.
- Jensen (cheap) cd system, 4 spkr (seperates up front), Bazooka tube for base
- I just gutted the interior to prep for the roll cage. I had the following:
- Rubber floor mat up front (no carpet), carpet in back.
- Custom boxes down both sides of the bed. (Great place to toss junk)
- Mike found two sets (total of 4) 97 Camaro buckets that he and Jeff helped install. They are way more comfortable, and even look ok. I also have the seats that came in it (high back seats from what looks like an 80 Blazer)
- Bit of rust, no significant dents.
- Hard top - double wall type, nice quality tinted windows
- 40 gallon fuel tank
- Roll cage (see pics above)
- Update gauges to an Autometer set
- 5" - tach and speedo
- 3.x" - oil pressure (in the middle)
- 2 5/8" - water temp, volt, fuel, trans temp
